Speech is Free...but not free from consequences.

Yes, just as we saw when poor old  Paula Deen put her foot in her mouth, we are hearing some people protest that poor old Don Sterling is being abused.

WHAT ABOUT HIS RIGHT TO FREE SPEECH?????  (Here's one, I've seen others on Facebook)

So, here it is: the first amendment in all it's glory (no, this is NOT sarcasm).

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.^[1]

<sup>That means that you have the right to say what you will, to express your opinions without getting arrested.

That does not mean you have a FREE PASS to run your mouth like an Idiot and make people sit still and listen.  IE- Speech is free, but carries consequences.

So, just a review for any of out there who are STILL TOO STUPID to understand how this works.

1) Yes, you (and Paula Deen and Don Sterling) have the right to express your opinion without getting arrested.

2) Yes, I (and the news media, and NAACP, and the President, and the busboy at the local Denny's) also have the right to call you a RASCIST PREJUDICED ASSHOLE...

3) We further have the right to say that, we will not associate with you, that you have the right to your backwards opinion, but that we have the right not to Employ You, Like You, or Buy Your Stuff.</sup>
